Andy Paul has a great way with words. This message from him is core, and critical too! In my opinion, EVERY salesperson should consider what they do today, then read this – again and again…
“Buyers don’t agree to meet with you to hear your pitch.
They agree to meet with you to talk about themselves.
They want to talk about their challenge(s) and the things that are important to them that they want to accomplish going forward.
They want your insights and questions to help them better understand the scope of their problems and the outcomes they can achieve by addressing them.
So, if you start a meeting with a buyer by pitching, or talking about your product or company, then the buyer will be disappointed.
It might seem like a little thing.
Except, there are no little things in sales.
They all add up.
And the buyer never forgets…”
